My husband is a vegan, which means I am always on the look out for vegan or vegan friendly or vegan restaurants wherever I go. Here’s some of the tried and tested vegan restaurants in Kuala Lumpur.
Best Vegan Restaurants in Kuala Lumpur
Supe, now known as ‘Kusa Vegan’ is the first name that comes to my mind when anyone asks me about vegan food in KL. I first visited them in 2019 and there has been no looking back. My favorite is their mango sushi. I also like their edamame fried rice and they customize the spice levels from 1 to 5. Every time I have guests. I take them to Kusa atleast for one meal without fail. They have 2 branches – one in Bukit Bintang and another in Bangsar
Located in China town, I love Hungry Tapir for their creative menu. I first visited them for a Christmas dinner and I had no egg eggnog, smoked watermelon ham, mushroom and chestnut wellington and mulled wine !!! Can the menu get any more creative ?!!! It was yummy-licious !

I was looking for a vegan friendly cake for Christmas and that’s how I first spotted Vicked Good. They prepare amazing cakes and savories . Try and you wont be disappointed !
Sala is famous for their burritos – its packed with tofu, tempeh, mushrooms, jack fruit and loads of veggies. All sauces and creams are vegan of course. It’s a bit bland for my taste but I do order them once in a while cos. well! making vegan food delicious is not so easy. Aside the taste their meals are filling and nutritious.

TIPS:
The best way to find vegan food is to install the app – Happy Cow. The app gives you recommendations to vegan and vegetarian cafes and restaurants based on your location. Bonus- It’s not limited to Malaysia. You can use the app in many other countries too.
